Business customersOur services are for businesses. Individuals: talk to us first.
1 to 3 working daysOur target for a video ad after you pick an idea.
Love it or refundSingle video ads: love the first cut or full refund.
Yours once paidWe assign our rights in the final work to you.

1Who we are, who you are

Hookvane is a United Kingdom sole trader business trading from 11 Castle Glen Manor, Dungannon BT71 6YG, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom ("Hookvane", "we"). Contact: [email protected]. Prices are in GBP and are VAT-inclusive where VAT applies; any VAT within the price is shown on your receipt or invoice at the prevailing rate.

Our services are supplied to business customers only. By ordering you confirm you are acting in the course of a business and purchasing on behalf of a business. If you are an individual acting wholly or mainly outside a trade or business, do not order without contacting us first: additional consumer rights would apply to you (see clause 14).

2Services, packages and prices

We produce short-form video advertisements, product images and websites. The current packages are:

3How ordering works

  • You send an order or question through our order page or by email. The order page does not take payment; it opens an email to us from your own email app.
  • We reply by email to confirm what you will get and send an invoice or payment link. The contract starts when we confirm your order in writing.
  • Work starts when we have your payment (see clause 6), your product link or brand assets, and anything else the brief needs.

4Turnaround

For video ads we aim to send three ideas within 48 hours of your completed brief, and your finished ad within 1 to 3 working days of your pick. Product images and websites have a delivery date we agree in writing. Turnaround times are targets we work hard to hit, not guarantees, and they start when we have your completed brief, assets and payment.

5Your materials and AI production

We produce your deliverables using third-party AI generation platforms. By supplying brand assets (logo, product photography, brand text) you grant us permission to process those assets on such platforms solely to produce your deliverables. These platforms operate under their own terms, which may include retention of inputs and use for service improvement; for that reason do not supply confidential or sensitive material, and never supply personal data of your customers. We use only what the brief needs, and we tell you which platforms are in use on request.

6Website projects

For each website project we agree in writing, before work starts, the pages and features, the delivery date, the price and the payment terms. Your domain name and hosting are registered in your name and paid at cost; we tell you the running cost before you agree. Our request for introductions to other businesses is a request only and is not a condition of the price. Never send us personal details of other people without their permission.

7Payment

  • Single ads, product images, websites and deals are paid in full before production, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
  • Launch packs are paid 50% on booking (non-refundable once production begins) with the balance due on concept approval.
  • Monthly plans are billed monthly in advance.
  • For business customers, overdue sums accrue statutory interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 (8% above the Bank of England base rate) plus the fixed recovery sums provided by that Act.

8Revisions and acceptance

  • You pick the idea before production. Work begins on your pick.
  • Each deliverable includes the revision rounds stated in its package or order confirmation. Additional rounds or scope changes are quoted before we do the work.
  • Deliverables are deemed accepted if you do not reject them in writing, with specific reasons, within 5 business days of delivery. This does not shorten the 7 days you have under our guarantee.

9Monthly plans

Monthly plans may be cancelled at any time with effect from the end of the current billing cycle. No partial-period refunds are given except as required by law or under our guarantee. Unused ads in a billing cycle roll over to the following cycle, up to a maximum banked total of three ads.

10Guarantee and refunds

Our money-back promises are set out on the Guarantee and refunds page and form part of these terms. In short: a single video ad is covered by "love the first cut or full refund"; monthly plans have no lock-in and a first-month refund if you don't run the ads; deals include two revision rounds on each video ad. Refunds go back to the original payment method within 10 business days of approval.

11Your obligations

You warrant that all materials you supply (logos, product images, footage, scripts, music, names, likenesses, claims) are owned by you or properly licensed for our use in producing your advertising, and that the claims you ask us to include are accurate and lawful. You indemnify us against third-party claims arising from materials you supplied or from your use of deliverables outside their agreed purpose.

You are responsible for the compliance of your advertising with applicable advertising rules (including ASA/CAP in the UK and equivalent regimes elsewhere) and for any platform disclosure obligations that apply when you run the ads.

12How our work is made: AI production

  • Deliverables are produced using third-party generative AI video, image and audio tools operated under our paid commercial licences, directed and reviewed by a human.
  • Your rights in the deliverables are subject to the applicable generation platforms' terms as amended from time to time.
  • Generative systems can produce similar outputs for other users. We do not warrant uniqueness or exclusivity of AI-generated elements.
  • Ad platforms (including Meta, TikTok, YouTube) may detect provenance metadata and label content as AI-generated. We do not warrant that deliverables will avoid such labels or pass any platform's ad review.

13Intellectual property

On receipt of full payment, we assign to you all right, title and interest we hold in the final deliverables, including any copyright subsisting under section 9(3) of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 or arising from human creative contribution (concepting, direction, arrangement, editing). We retain the right to display deliverables in our portfolio and marketing unless you opt out in writing.

We do not warrant that copyright subsists in AI-generated elements in any jurisdiction (in particular, purely AI-generated material is currently not registrable with the US Copyright Office), and we give no warranty of registrability. We warrant that we will not knowingly copy third-party works and that our tools are used under valid commercial licences; if a deliverable is credibly alleged to infringe third-party rights through our fault, our obligation is to re-perform or replace the affected deliverable.

Music and voice: music and voiceover are included only where generated or licensed under terms that expressly permit use in paid advertising. If you supply music or request a specific track, sync licensing is your responsibility.

14If you are a consumer

If, notwithstanding clause 1, you deal with us as a consumer: you have a legal right to cancel a distance service contract within 14 days of purchase. By ordering you expressly request that we begin performance within that period and acknowledge that you lose the right to cancel once the service is fully performed; if you cancel during performance you pay for the proportion supplied. Our services must be performed with reasonable care and skill, and nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

15No performance warranty, and liability

We do not guarantee views, clicks, conversions, return on ad spend, platform approval, or any other advertising outcome.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that: (a) we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, data or goodwill, or for advertising performance; and (b) our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the services in any 12-month period is capped at the fees you paid us in that period. Your indemnity in clause 11 sits outside this cap.

16Free first looks

If we send you a free first look, you may use those images in your own advertising at no charge and without time limit. They are made with AI image tools from product photos you have published. Check them for accuracy before you run them; you are responsible for how you use them and for any platform labelling. We do not show a prospect's first look in our portfolio without written permission.

17General and complaints

These terms are the entire agreement for standard orders and supersede prior discussions. We may update them; the version in force at your order date applies to that order. If any clause is unenforceable the rest survive. These terms and any non-contractual disputes are governed by the law of Northern Ireland, and the courts of Northern Ireland have exclusive jurisdiction.

Complaints: email [email protected] and we will respond as quickly as possible. Our guarantee is in addition to any statutory rights.
